About
Hey world. I’m Ron Scott, and you’re now inside my online journal, blog, playground, pet project… whatever you want to call it. I suppose an about page would be a good place to tell you about me. But I don’t think I can meet that expectation. You’ll just have to come back again to read my thoughts.
But I guess I can impart a few details about the great Ronaldo here.
I’m 17 years old, and live in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. It’s a small town with a small high school, but I like it that way.
I hope to study communications at Crandall University in the fall of 2010. That’s not very much time!
I have been designing websites since 2004. Wow, that’s five years. Time sure flies by. I hope to go on to a career after university in which I can use my skills in web development. I consider HTML/CSS and Photoshop as my highest strengths in this field, but I also have a working knowledge in PHP and Java. Wordpress is all I ever use for a CMS.
As a teenager, I have a fairly solid reputation as the nerd, but I don’t mind. Nerds are cool, too.
I love photography. If I can’t do web design as a career, I’ll switch to photography in a heartbeat. I currently own a new Canon XSi, which I am absolutely in love with. You can see examples of my photography on my flickr account.
I worked at Camp Pagweak for three summers (2007-2009). It was there I made most of my closest friends. I’m an evangelical Christian (if you want to put a label on it), and my father is a baptist pastor.
If you want to contact me or be friends online (I’m quite friendly, really), please review the following:
My twitter profile.
My email, rs[dot]pixelhero[at]gmail[dot]com. Sorry spammers, time to find another poor slob’s email to harvest.
Don’t worry, fans. I will be writing more in here when I get more time. Until then, subscribe to my feed, kick back, and relax.
